Play all five episodes of the original Sally Face in order before Sally Face 2. The sequel starts at Episode Six and is explicitly described as a direct continuation.

The original Steam release bundles the complete five-episode story. Playing in order preserves the way its mysteries, relationships, and supernatural rules are introduced.

Can you skip the original?
You may be able to follow the immediate objectives in Episode Six, but official wording makes clear that its story continues the original. Skipping five episodes means missing the context behind Sal, his friends, the cult conflict, and the state of the world.
If time is limited, a recap can refresh a game you already played. For a first experience, a recap cannot reproduce the puzzle discoveries, dialogue, and perspective changes that make later events meaningful.
